Many constraints keep children out of school in Cambodia and PPS is dedicated to finding solutions to them. Today, Cambodia is enjoying a great improvement on the availability of the basic primary education infrastructure throughout the country. However, secondary education remains a concern.
Under an agreement between Phare Ponleu Selpak and the Ministry of Education of the Royal Government of Cambodia, PPS built a school on its compound. It was built between 2002 and 2006, when even primary school availability was a major concern in the semi-rural areas of the city's suburbs. It now includes all twelve grades of primary and secondary education. This school was built in partnership with the French Embassy and the Japanese bilateral aid.
